Ms. Nilza is originally from Hermosillo, Mexico. She is a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist. Growing up she enjoyed Adventures and Pathfinders which led her to earn her Master Guide. Recognizing her ability to lead children, her church asked her to lead their Adventurer club and later on the Pathfinder club.
Having both parents working in the Education field, increase her desire to become a teacher. With that in mind she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught in several public and private schools in the state of Sonora including serving as the principal of the Mexitli Kindergarten in Imuris prior to moving to the United States.
During the summer of 2007 she got married to a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist Engineer and loving husband Joseph. Who appreciates and greatly supports Adventist Education.
Since coming to Michigan, Ms. Nilza has taught Art, Physical education, and Spanish at: Metro Jr. Academy, Ann Arbor Adventist Elementary, and Oakwood Jr. Academy all SDA schools.
When Ms. Nilza is not having fun teaching, she enjoys playing with her dog Peanut and traveling with her Husband.

Kathi Ingleby
Secretary

Ms. Ingleby spent several years managing medical offices and insurance billing. Her retirement job at MJA is "the best" in this Christian education environment. Watching the students grow and move from elementary school to middle school and then academy age has been delightful and rewarding.
