Nilza Trizon Physical Education
Ms. Nilza is originally from Hermosillo, Mexico. She is a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist. Growing up she enjoyed Adventures and Pathfinders which led her to earn her Master Guide. Recognizing her ability to lead children, her church asked her to lead their Adventurer club and later on the Pathfinder club. Having both parents working in the Education field, increase her desire to become a teacher. With that in mind she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught in several public and private schools in the state of Sonora including serving as the principal of the Mexitli Kindergarten in Imuris prior to moving to the United States. During the summer of 2007 she got married to a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist Engineer and loving husband Joseph. Who appreciates and greatly supports Adventist Education. Since coming to Michigan, Ms. Nilza has taught Art, Physical education, and Spanish at: Metro Jr. Academy, Ann Arbor Adventist Elementary, and Oakwood Jr. Academy all SDA schools. When Ms. Nilza is not having fun teaching, she enjoys playing with her dog Peanut and traveling with her Husband.

I attended Metropolitan Junior Academy from Kindergarten - 10th grade. I went on to finish high school at Great Lakes Adventist Academy. I attended Andrews University and graduated with a BS in elementary education. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, baking, photography, and sports.
Kathi Ingleby Secretary
Ms. Ingleby spent several years managing medical offices and insurance billing. Her retirement job at MJA is "the best" in this Christian education environment. Watching the students grow and move from elementary school to middle school and then academy age has been delightful and rewarding.

Isai McGrath Math Teacher Grades 5-8/Precalculus Grade 11
Isai and her husband, Pastor Daniel McGrath, recently moved to the area where he is pastors at Metropolitan SDA Church. She has a degree in education and was previously on staff at Grand Rapids Adventist Academy. The McGraths have 2 children, a son Ian and a daughter Aila.
Tonya Nougaisse Teachers Aide
Miss Tonya is once again our Teachers Aide for grades K-4. She brings a soft-spoken calmness to the younger students and they appreciate her assistance. She is the mother of 3, son Uriah, daughter Shekinah and younger son, Ezra who attends MJA.
